WHY IS SIGNING YOUR CREATIONS ESSENTIAL?

When creating jewelry, we often think about shapes, colors, and materials…
But there is one simple step that many makers tend to put off: signing their creations.
And yet, it is what transforms a piece of jewelry into something that is truly your own.
1 – Giving Legitimacy to Your Work
Signing your creations is a way of acknowledging their value. It is a simple gesture, but one that marks a transition: your jewelry is no longer just an experiment or a practice piece — it becomes a finished creation that you are proud to claim as your own.

2 – Bringing a Professional Touch to Your Craft
A handcrafted piece that bears the maker’s name reinforces the professional nature of the work and highlights the care and craftsmanship behind its creation.
3 – Creating Connection and Authenticity
Signing your work helps create a lasting connection between you and your art.
It is a simple way to make your creations recognizable over time.
Signing your creations is also a wonderful way to build trust with your customers and reassure them of the authenticity of a piece that has been genuinely handcrafted.
My Solution: A Custom Signature Stamp
I have been signing my jewelry for many years and offer custom signature stamps designed specifically for marking polymer clay. Over time, I have refined and simplified my process to make it easier and more efficient.
I create small polymer clay tags onto which I stamp my signature.
I bake them in advance, which means I always have signature tags ready to use.
- This saves me time during the making process.
- I get a neat and consistent signature every time.
- It allows me to stay focused on creating without interrupting my workflow.
Here’s my process:
Incorporating the Signature into the Piece
Once these tags have been baked, I incorporate them directly into the back of my jewelry pieces.
And if you'd like to start signing your own creations…
If you would like to sign your creations with a custom stamp:

What if I want to use my logo or a custom font?
I can provide a custom quote based on the work required to adapt your design to the technical constraints of stamp making (adjusting line thickness, simplifying details if necessary), as well as the engraving time and testing needed to ensure a clean, crisp, and legible impression on polymer clay. Simply fill out this form, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Bonjour,
